‘It’s too early to judge Buhari’

PROPHET Ekong Ituen spiritual leader of Christ Deliverance Ministries CDM,Lagos urged Nigerians to support President Muhammadu Buhari in transforming Nigeria.
Are you surprised at the crisis rocking the All Progressives Congress (APC)?
No,because I saw it coming and I warned the leadership of the party as was published in Daily Sun of January 20th, 2014.My words: “That APC would win 2015 Presidential election but the party would experience serious leadership challenges that would threaten the existence of the party as there would be disloyalty and rebellion in their midst.”
It is unfortunate that my advice was ignored. Let me use this medium to tell Senator Bukola Saraki, the President of the senate, not to celebrate yet, because he will find it difficult to have a smooth ride in the senate.
Unless he prays well and seek reconciliation with all his heart,he will be humiliated. Furthermore,it should be noted that party supremacy needs to be respected at all times and views of the party leaders must also be regarded as sacred.
I call on the leaders of the APC to embark on extensive prayers to avert mass defection in future.
What is your assessment of President Muhammadu Buhari’s performance so far?
I think it is too early to judge. The President should not be stampeded into taking hasty actions that we may regret at the end because it takes wisdom and not speed to govern well. The point is that Buhari met things that were not so pleasant on his table. He has to take time to undo some of those wrongs,so that he will not end up repeating the mistakes of the past governments.
It should also be noted that in democracy, the ills of the past cannot be corrected by the wave of the hand.It can also be done by adopting a thorough, meticulous and articulate approach to governance.I urge Nigerians to support him in transforming Nigeria because he is God sent,a new breath of fresh air and a new dawn for Nigerians.
