2023: Bakare Is Entitled To His Opinion – Prophet Ekong Ituen • Says I Can’t Do Without Prophecies

Prophet Ituen, an indigene of Akwa Ibom State who is the President and Founder of Christ Deliverance Ministries Inc. {CDM} Worldwide with headquarters in Lagos, simply said the fiery and vocal Presiding Pastor of The Latter Rain Assembly “is entitled to his own opinion”.
GRANDNEWS had pointedly asked Prophet Ekong in a few questions sent to him online, if “…. you share this vision or think otherwise?” to which he said he would not respond to what God has not revealed to him.
His words: “Pastor Tunde Bakare is entitled to his opinion, I would not like to comment on anything that God has not revealed to me”.
Sometime in September, Pastor Bakare had declared that he would be crowned Nigeria’s next president, saying “to this end I was born.”
He made this known during a sermon in a video that has since gone viral that he will be Nigeria’s 16th president.
In the video, he could be heard saying: “Take it to the mountain top if you have never heard it before. I am saying it to you this morning, in the scheme of things, as far as politics of Nigeria is concerned, President Buhari is number 15 and yours sincerely is number 16.
“I never said that to you before, I want to let you know it this morning; nothing can change it, in the name of Jesus. He (Buhari) is number 15; I am number 16,” Bakare said while placing his right hand on his chest.
“To this end was I born and for this purpose came I into the world. I have prepared for this for 30 years. When he (Buhari) chose to run in 2019, he is still number 15, when he steps out, I step in”, he had declared.
Prophet Ituen, born into The Apostolic Church but mentored by Apostle John Okoriko of Solid Rock Kingdom Church and Pastor Jeremiah Ntuen of Prayer Group Mission, studied Political Science and Christian Education and began his prophetic ministry in 1993 in Ibadan.
“The fact is that my calling began to manifest in 1993 at Ibadan, Oyo State in South-West Nigeria, after the healing of Elder Francis Umanah by God, who suffered from paralysis. Incidentally, the news of this unprecedented miracle spread like wildfire, which prompted the afflicted, the oppressed and those with diverse problems to throng in daily for deliverance, prayers and testimonies. Since then the Grace of God still abound”.
On why he manifests more of prophetic gift than other known spiritual gifts, Prohet Ituen said it is just one of the many gifts deposited in him by God
“ Yes this is true but let me start by telling you that Prophecy is part of my calling, It is one of the gifts that God has deposited in me, I can’t do without it, because It is written: “Let every man abide in the calling he was called” 1Corinthians 7:20”.
Prophet Ituen disagreed that he dwell more on political prophecies, saying his prophecies in other areas of life were not publicized because of “divine instruction” and insisted that many people can testify to that.
“This is not true because over the years I have been predicting many events outside political environment that came to pass but were not published due to divine instructions attached. People that met me privately and those in my congregation can testify to this”.
On which of his prophecies he considered most accurate and how he feels when any of his prophecies fails, he has this to say:
“Well to the best of my knowledge, every prophecy spoken by me are always accurate because they are from the same source, which is the Holy Spirit, but if there is any that has not come to pass, it therefore means that the person involved has adopted the formula of Hezekiah in the Bible (2Kings 20:1-6) because prophecy is a warning and a clue to the plan of God which can be prevented if the right steps are taken”.
And on what he thinks the future holds for the two big parties in Nigeria – All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prophet Ituen blamed the two parties for lack of internal democracy that results in imposition. He asserted that their future would be shaped by their willingness or otherwise to embrace internal democracy.
“My observation about these two political parties is lack of internal democracy that leads to imposition. It is expected that party interest should be superior to personal interest but the reverse is the case. Their future depends on the ability to uphold internal democracy and party supremacy”.
He seized to opportunity to emphasize that he is completely apolitical and belongs to no party as he is a spiritual father to all.
“Of course let me say this here that I have no party, I am very neutral, I am a spiritual father to all. As a messenger of God Almighty, my responsibility is to convey messages from God to humanity and Nations.
“A true Prophet should not be seen as being partisan, and prophecy should not be seen as hatred or criticism but as part of intelligence reports, warning and a clue to the plan of God which can be prevented if the right steps are taken.
“It is to be noted that even in the Bible, God used prophets to warn leaders of impending crises and defeat”, he stated.
