12 IMPORTANT TRUTHS ABOUT MINISTRY FOR PASTORS/LEADERSHIP.

1. YOU WERE NOT SENT TO EVERYONE

> Matt 15:24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

Even Jesus recognized he was not sent to everyone but only to the LOST SHEEP OF ISRAEL.

Peter was sent to the Jews, but Paul to the Gentiles

Until You understand this fact, you will want everyone to listen and follow your ministry.

No pastor/ministry was sent to everyone on earth.

RELAX AND LEAD THOSE YOU WERE SENT TO

2. NOT EVERYONE THAT STARTED WITH YOU WILL REMAIN

No matter what You do and how good you are, some persons must leave You.

Mind you, everyone that leaves must have something negative to say about you and ministry, so don’t bother answering them because that is ministry for you

Don’t expect everyone to stay under you forever, always make provisions for the days ahead because even your most trusted man/woman can leave you

3. GOD IS THE OWNER OF THE CHURCH AND HE IS MORE COMMITTED TO IT THAN YOU

No point killing yourself over what is not yours, God is the owner of the church and he is more interested and committed to that ministry than you.

He is the builder, organizer, director and controller of that ministry, so no power can stand him

RELAX AND WATCH HIM DO HIS THINGS

4. CERTAIN THINGS WILL NEVER HAPPEN AT THE BEGINNING NO MATTER YOUR PRAYER, STUDY, SACRIFICE AND COMMITMENT.

Calm down my brother/sister, you can fast and pray for all I care, sow everything you have, move from house to house Evangelism and all kinds of adverts

Until it’s time, certain things will never happen and if you don’t understand God you may think he is partial, he has favourites, he doesn’t exist or answer prayer

The truth is, there is time for everything in life and ministry

5. POWERS IN THE LAND MOST FIGHT YOU, YOUR FAMILY AND THE MINISTRY

There are environmental powers, local forces, installed spiritual landlords and landladies where you and your ministry is located.

They will never allow your church to grow because light and darkness will never agree but when you stand your ground soon your ministerial light will outshine their dark powers

DARKNESS CAN NEVER STAND LIGHT

6. YOU MUST PREPARE FOR CRITICISM, COMPETITION, ENVY AND CONSPIRACY FROM THE CHURCH, YOUR COLLEAGUES/CO-MINISTERS AND THE WORLD

These are part of life and ministry as a pastor, these are humans with different opinions, views, intentions and interpretations of you and your ministry

Some will feel you are too young for your achievements, some will fight you, others will speak evil of you

But you must understand that you are a public figure and as such people will talk about you in different ways but you and God has the final say

PREPARE FOR IT BECAUSE YOUR OWN CHURCH MEMBERS WILL FIGHT YOU, YOUR FRIENDS WILL FIGHT YOU, PEOPLE OF THE WORLD WILL FIGHT YOU BUT YOU MUST NOT FIGHT YOURSELF BY ALLOWING THEM

7. YOU CAN’T DO WITHOUT MONEY IN LIFE, FAMILY AND MINISTRY

You need money, you must start to talk about it very early in your life and ministry

Don’t be shy to talk about money, don’t let people’s complains and criticism stop you from talking about money in your ministry because soon you will understand you need money

MONEY IS MINISTRY

8. DON’T MAKE YOURSELF TOO CHEAP NO MATTER WHO COMES AROUND

As God begins to lift and expand your work, different people will be attracted with different purposes.

Some can even claim God appeared to them to work or submit to you as sons and daughters or branch pastors

Please be very smart, sharp and careful because people come for different reasons but no matter the reason, know it that it was because of what you carry that they came

So create scarcity for them because by experience I understand people don’t value what is always available and accessible.

9. CHURCHES IN BETTER AND CENTRALIZED LOCATIONS GROW FASTER AND QUICKER

Your church will never grow in that hidden, unmotorable, secret and private place

Learn this from Living Faith, their laws says the church must be accessible and in a centralized location which I adopted and it’s working for me

PUT YOUR CHURCH ALONG THE ROAD ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A BEGINER

10. KEEP YOUR SECRET TO YOURSELF NO MATTER THE PRESSURES FROM PEOPLE

As soon as God begins to increase your work, people will start coming to know your secrets and how you are doing it

Please know this, you are bigger than them because you know more than them. They are there to get your secrets and leave and you must be very foolish to think they love and celebrate you.

Please keep your secret to yourself

EVERYONE MUST HAVE SECRET INCLUDING GOD HIMSELF Deut 29:29

11. STOP EXPLAINING GOD’S MOVES IN YOUR LIFE, FAMILY AND MINISTRY BECAUSE IF YOU CAN EXPLAIN IT THEN IS NOT GOD.

Anything you can explain is not from God because only God can explain what he does

Mind you, people have already believed what they want so your explanation is useless because they will summarize your explanations with their opinions

I HAVE STOPPED EXPLAINING MYSELF NO MATTER WHAT THEY SAY

12. STAY HUMBLE TO GOD, FATHERS/MENTORS AND SENIORS IN LIFE, FAMILY AND MINISTRY.

Don’t be bigger than your fathers, mothers, mentors and seniors in ministry no matter your level

Crowd, popularity, possessions, affluence and influence doesn’t make you a father, mother, mentor or senior in ministry

Fathers, mothers and mentors are made and appointed by GOD.
